General Administration

The General Administration Section of the Department of Fertilizers serves as the backbone of administrative and operational functions, ensuring seamless execution of activities in alignment with government policies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Office Management:
    • Day-to-day management of office operations, including space allocation, infrastructure, and layout.
    • Procurement and maintenance of office supplies, furniture, and equipment.
  2. Procurement Through Government e-Marketplace (GeM):
    • Facilitating procurement of goods and services in compliance with government policies.
    • Ensuring transparent, efficient, and timely procurement through the GeM portal.
    • Monitoring and updating procurement data and records for accountability and reporting purposes.
  3. Facility and Logistics Management:
    • Supervising housekeeping, security, and maintenance of office premises.
    • Organizing logistics, transport, and hospitality for official events and functions.
  4. Compliance and Records Management:
    • Ensuring adherence to government guidelines, rules, and statutory obligations.
    • Maintaining records, archives, and documentation for administrative functions.
